Jerdon’s leafbird (Chloropsis jerdoni) inhabits lowland forests in Sri Lanka and India and may be observed in flowering and fruiting trees, where it feeds on insects, fruits, and nectar. Easily recognised by its vibrant green plumage, males are distinguished by a dark blue-black throat patch, while females have light blue plumage on the throat. This species is known for its diverse vocalisations and its ability to mimic the calls of other bird species.
