Indian Paradise-flycatcher

The Indian paradise-flycatcher (Terpsiphone paradisi) has a blue-black head with a distinct crest. This species is sexually dimorphic, with males sporting long, streamer-like tail feathers, while females have shorter tails. They cover large expanses of jungle in search of insects and are often seen darting to water holes to wash themselves, then returning to the same perch, resembling the behavior of a kingfisher.
