The Sri Lankan green vine snake (Ahaetulla nasuta) is a small, mildly venomous tree snake endemic to Sri Lanka. It inhabits shrubs and trees in lowland forests, often near water sources. An arboreal species, its green colouration provides excellent camouflage. It primarily feeds on lizards and invertebrates and is ovoviviparous, giving birth to live young that develop within egg membranes inside the mother’s body.
